Mister Clay is an Italian urban artist who has been active since 1997. Emerging from the world of graffiti writing and lettering, he has developed a distinctive visual language rooted in graffiti culture and inspired by New York’s Wild Style, evolving it into a highly personal and instantly recognizable artistic practice.
From this journey emerged Gli Allucinati (“The Hallucinated”), a universe of bold, playful, and deeply human characters. Through vibrant colours and simplified forms, these figures have become universal symbols of empathy, freedom, inclusion, and imagination, connecting with people of all ages and backgrounds.
His practice spans street art, painting, installation, with a constant focus on the relationship between artwork, place, and community. Each intervention is conceived to transform walls and urban spaces into places of encounter and shared experience, where art becomes accessible, encourages human connection, and leaves a lasting mark on everyday life.
Throughout his career, Mister Clay has created artworks and public projects in Italy and abroad, collaborating with cultural institutions, galleries, public bodies, and private organisations. His work moves naturally between urban environments and exhibition spaces while consistently exploring the expressive power of colour, visual storytelling, and human relationships.
